Frequently Asked Questions:
How Do I Commission a Mural, Furniture Project or Fine Art Painting?
Call me or send an email with an overview of your project. We will discuss your ideas and, if appropriate, we will meet at the future home of the mural or painting.
If applicable, I will then produce rough sketches. Detailed designs may require design fees.
Once we’ve settled on a design I will provide you with a written proposal for the completed work.
How Do You Charge for Your Services?
On Site Mural, Furniture & Fine Art Consultations: First hour free, then $50/hour
Mural & Furniture Minimum: $500.00
Fine Art Commission Minimum: $350.00
Design Fees: variable
Final projects are contracted for a flat total fee. My clients know the cost before the project begins. Any changes to the design that increase costs are agreed upon with client. Final, agreed upon fees includes all labor, travel, insurance, equipment and materials. Projects vary too greatly to give further reference pricing.
Color Consultations within 50 miles of my Studio are $100 for 1st hour, then $50 for each additional hour.
Additional driving beyond 50 miles will be billed at $50/hour.
You should be prepared for the consultation to take one hour per room – although it may take less time depending on how many color choices are needed.
Complex color projects may require studio time and return trip for presentation of options. Simpler project choices can usually be determined in one site visit.
Once we have discussed your project and color options you should purchase sample pots or quarts of paint and test them on your walls. This allows you to live with your selections for a few days, seeing them in different lighting conditions throughout the day and evening. The final decision is yours.
Can you help me with other Decorating Decisions?
Many of my paint color consultations turn to discussions about carpets, tiles, furniture, etc. I am happy to guide you in the hard choices that tie your whole look together.
Decor Consultation fees: same as Color Consultations.
